The primary role of the Staff Accountant is to be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation.

This job is a REMOTE position.

Record and monitor cash collections.

Perform account reconciliations and analysis.

Work with the team on implementing and managing workflows and the closing process.

Prepare clear and concise workpapers and analysis.

Report on financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner.

Prepare journal entries, schedules, and matrices.

Execute journal entries and month-end close with little supervision.

Perform ad hoc tasks and lead special projects.

Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.

Take part in various department-wide initiatives.

Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Must Haves: Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills are required.

• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience.

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics.

Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook), as well as QuickBooks and other Finance & Accounting related software.

Be detailed, flexible, and organized.

Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision.

Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.

Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills.

Good work ethic and outstanding time management skills.

Ability and willingness to meet business-critical deadlines.
