About the Role

We’re seeking a Fractional CFO who combines deep financial expertise with strategic vision. This role is ideal for a senior finance leader who thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments and can translate financial insights into actionable business strategy.

As a trusted partner to leadership, you’ll help strengthen financial discipline, improve profitability, and guide data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on — able to define long-term financial strategy while ensuring excellence in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on growth, capital allocation, and overall business performance.
  • Develop and refine financial strategy, operating models, and long-range plans aligned with company goals.
  • Lead scenario modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning to support decision-making and risk management.
  • Identify and drive growth opportunities, margin expansion, and cost optimization initiatives.

Financial Operations & Oversight

  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Implement strong financial controls, systems, and processes to support scalability and transparency.
  • Manage and guide accounting, FP&A, and finance operations — whether internal or outsourced.
  • Evaluate and optimize pricing strategies, capital structure, and funding requirements.
  • Performance & Insights

  • Build and maintain dashboards and KPI frameworks to track financial performance and efficiency.
  • Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to leadership and investors.
  • Partner with department heads to align budgets, investments, and priorities with business outcomes.
  • Capital & Growth Initiatives

  • Support fundraising, M&A, or investor relations, including financial modeling, due diligence, and deal structuring.
  • Advise on capital deployment, strategic partnerships, and expansion initiatives.
  • Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior CFO or senior FP&A roles.
  • Proven success supporting scaling businesses, startups, or mid-market firms (preferably across multiple sectors).
  • Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Experience with equity fundraising, debt financing, or M&A preferred.
  • Hands‑on proficiency with accounting and BI tools (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Excel / Google Sheets, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to simplify complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred but not required.
