Security Administrator

Job Description

This is a remote position.

• Manage, reset, and update passwords and credentials across key business tools (1Password, Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, AWS, etc.)
  
• Ensure all credentials are securely stored and rotated according to internal security protocols.
  

• Add, remove, and modify user access and permissions across various systems.
  
• Maintain appropriate access controls based on user roles and department needs.
  

• Respond to and resolve security-related support requests in a timely manner.
  
• Perform hands-on system changes as needed and escalate complex issues to the Security Director.
  

• Set up accounts for new employees and revoke access for departing team members in accordance with security policies.
  
• Ensure a smooth onboarding/offboarding experience while maintaining strict security compliance.
  

• Monitor systems for unusual or suspicious activity.
  
• Report and escalate potential security incidents to the Security Director.
  

• Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all access changes, credential updates, and security-related actions.
  
• Support internal audits and compliance checks by ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  

Requirements

• IT administration, user access management, or related security operations
  
• Authentication methods, account provisioning, and access control best practices
  
• Managing systems such as Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, AWS, or 1Password
  
• Maintaining organized and detailed documentation
  
• Handling sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism
  
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and escalation procedures
  
• A dual monitor setup is required (at least 8GB of RAM)
  
• Must have at least 25 MBPS internet speed

Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in IT administration, user access management, or a related security operations role. Strong knowledge of authentication methods, account provisioning, and access control best practices. Experience managing systems such as Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, AWS, or 1Password preferred. Excellent organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and escalation procedures.
