Senior SAP FICO Consultant

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant to lead the design, delivery, and optimization of SAP Finance solutions across Sophos. This role combines deep functional expertise with strategic thinking - driving process excellence, intelligent automation, and innovation within our SAP Finance landscape. You will act as a trusted advisor to Finance and IT stakeholders, shaping scalable, future-ready solutions that enhance financial performance and control. This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in modernizing our SAP landscape, including enhancing Finance capabilities and driving AI‑enabled innovation. You will help shape the future of SAP Finance within a global organization committed to continuous advancement. What You Will Do

• Solution Design & Delivery
• Lead the analysis and design of end-to-end SAP FI / CO solutions aligned to business objectives.
• Translate complex finance requirements into high-quality functional specifications.
• Configure and optimise SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax) and CO (Cost Centres, Profit Centres, Internal Orders).
• Ensure strong integration across SAP modules and third-party systems.
• Contribute to project planning, estimation, and successful delivery of SAP initiatives.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to enhance finance processes through automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Leverage Finance innovations to modernise and simplify processes.
• Promote scalable, supportable, and future-ready solutions aligned with architectural and governance standards.
• Actively drive continuous improvement across the SAP Finance landscape.
• Stakeholder & Operational Excellence
• Facilitate design workshops and act as a trusted advisor to Finance stakeholders.
• Lead or contribute to SAP workstreams across upgrades, rollouts, integrations, and transformation initiatives.
• Oversee SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and third-party AMS partners.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability development within the SAP team.
