Client : MULTINATIONAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY

Position : CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for driving sustainable profitability by pursuing revenue growth while maintaining prudent cost management. The role ensures that the organization’s resources are efficiently utilized and properly safeguarded through effective internal control systems. It also oversees and mitigates financial and business risks across the balance sheet to support the company's long-term stability and growth.

Controllership / Accounting

  • Oversees financial reporting and ensures full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews and approves submissions to the Insurance Commission and SEC.
  • Delivers timely, accurate reports to management, the Board, and shareholders.
  • Ensures adherence to PAS and PFRS standards.
  • Builds strong relationships with auditors and regulators.

Investment Management

  • Serves as Chief Investment Officer, ensuring compliance with laws and company by-laws.
  • Manages investible funds within approved risk and authority limits.
  • Maintains strong partnerships with banks and fund managers.
  • Provides strategic advice on investment outlets and retirement funds.
  • Represents the company in dealings with investors and financial institutions.

    • Cash and Treasury

  • Acts as Corporate Treasurer in compliance with governance and regulations.
  • Oversees cash flow planning, disbursements, and liquidity management.
  • Ensures proper authorization and control of expenditures.
  • Safeguards company assets and maintains banking relationships.

    • Actuarial Management

  • Oversees pricing and profitability of Group and Retail insurance products.
  • Reviews actuarial valuations, reports, and portfolio analyses.
  • Guides product development to ensure financial soundness.
  • Aligns actuarial insights with business and financial goals.

    • DepEd Business Oversight

  • Leads the financial and operational performance of the DepEd business segment.
  • Drives income growth and achievement of budget targets.
  • Ensures operational efficiency and sound financial management.
  • Aligns DepEd business goals with overall company strategy.

    • Qualifications

  • CPA required, MBA preferred
  • At least 10 years of overall experience in finance, transformation, and digitalization with at least 3 years as a CFO and in the insurance industry
