The Senior Accounting Manager / Controller is responsible for ensuring that the company financial data is accurate and is presented to internal and external stakeholders efficiently and on a timely manner.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Has full accountability of the financial statements of the company
- Organize the accounting team to efficiently deliver reports on a timely and accurate basis
- Implement company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to
safeguard company assets and reduce fraud
Provide financial reports and analysis to guide decision-makingIdentify efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the businessTrack equity and loans and ensure proper documentation and reporting are in placefor these
Prepare confidential payroll and upload the related bank fileAccomplish accounting human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting,training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees;communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job
contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions
Proactively identify and recommend improvement of department’s operationalworkflows, processes and controls
Participate in projects involving system implementation, process changes & upgradesincluding participation in user acceptance testing, documentation of testing results
and participation in implementation phases as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of Business Administration, Finance Accounting or its equivalentCPAMBA preferredCOMPETENCIES
Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail, documentation and analytical skillsStrong business acumenAt least 10 years finance experience, preferably in multinational setting or at one of the “Big Four” firmsStrong organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines
