Work Schedule : 9 : 00AM to 6 : 00PM (QLD) | 7 : 00AM to 4 : 00PM (PH)

The client is a growing, ISO-accredited construction company with a QLD Medium Rise building licence. We specialise in civil and sports-field construction, with experience across drainage, irrigation, cut and fill, electrical, and turf-related works. Backed by the largest turf farm in the country, we bring strong resources, a proven track record, and a commitment to delivering quality projects—particularly for government and council clients.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to take ownership of our estimating function. The successful candidate will be responsible not only for preparing winning tenders, but also for procurement and contributing to project management where required. This is a pivotal role with direct impact on the growth and success of the company.

What You'll Do :

You'll be the kind of person who :

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil and construction projects (drainage, electrical, cut / fill, irrigation, turf).
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and documentation to build detailed tenders using site-ready project files.
  • Manage procurement, including supplier / subcontractor engagement and purchasing.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options in bids.
  • Support project management and resourcing as required.
  • Improve and systemise our estimating, procurement, and project processes, open to candidates with ability to create structural improvements within the estimating and documentation process.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier, subcontractor, and client relationships, with the ability to speak to clients confidently.
  • Produce high-level, compelling presentation documentation to enhance tender submissions.
  • Complete the entire estimating process from initial analysis to final submission.
  • Utilise Excel for current estimating tasks and SharePoint for documentation management.

Requirements

What You Bring :

We're looking for someone who :

  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (civil, drainage, irrigation, electrical, or related works).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers.
  • Track record of winning tenders, ideally in the government / council sector.
  • Procurement experience (supplier engagement, contract negotiation).
  • Exposure to project management responsibilities is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint, with strong skills in preparing high- quality presentation documentation.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, including the ability to engage directly with clients.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently in a small, agile team.

    Requirements

    Requirements / Skills Needed : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in estimation, project costing, or a similar role. Proficiency in AroFlo CRM, and Groundplan software. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong understanding of Australian construction practices and regulatory standards. Speak English well. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in reviewing plans and documentation. Strong IT skills with the ability to learn and adapt to various tools and systems.
