As a Principal Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial backbone of ADI’s product cost structure, influencing pricing, profitability, and operational decision‑making across the Company. You will be a key driver of both cost discipline and strategic insight - supporting ADI’s long‑term growth and global cost‑efficiency priorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Standard Costing Ownership
- Lead standard cost setting for one or multiple business units, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with financial and operational goals.
- Own one or more production stages for the entire product portfolio during semi‑annual full cost updates, working across engineering, operations, and finance teams.
- Maintain and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and all cost elements, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
2. Business Partnership & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with business unit leaders, engineers, and operations teams to identify cost risks, opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management that influence decisions on product pricing, product lifecycle, and cost roadmap strategy.
3. Advanced Cost Modeling & Financial Analysis
- Develop forward‑looking costing models informed by internal systems, manufacturing performance data, and market trends.
- Analyze long‑term cost assumptions, absorption impacts, and cost‑reduction/savings opportunities, contributing to global efficiency efforts.
- Support COGS‑related activities and financial reporting requirements in partnership with global operations and test teams.
4. Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Drive process optimization within the costing function, enhancing efficiency, data quality, and standardization.
- Lead operational improvements within the team, supporting ADI’s broader global cost initiative and organizational efficiency goals.
- Contribute to harmonization efforts across sites, systems, and costing methodologies as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in costing, financial planning, manufacturing finance, or inventory accounting—preferably within a global semiconductor environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with ERP and costing systems is an advantage.

- High attention to detail and strong analytical rigor; accuracy is essential for guiding business decisions.
- Process‑oriented mindset with the ability to understand and enhance highly detailed costing workflows.
- Curiosity and problem‑solving skills—comfortable digging deep into complex semiconductor manufacturing processes.
