Senior General Accountant

Location: BGC, Taguig Department: Finance Reports To: Finance Manager Role Summary The Senior General Accountant will lead core accounting operations, tax compliance, intercompany management, and financial reporting for a growing fintech company.

This role requires strong Philippine tax expertise, experience handling high-volume digital transactions, and the ability to supervise junior staff while strengthening financial controls .

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the National Internal Revenue Code, practical experience dealing with the Bureau of Internal Revenue, and hands-on experience managing intercompany transactions in a multi-entity structure.

• Key Responsibilities A.

Financial Reporting & Close Process Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing Review journal entries and reconciliations Prepare management financial statements Maintain GL integrity and chart of accounts Ensure compliance with PFRS B.

Philippine Tax Compliance & Planning Oversee preparation and filing of: VAT / Percentage Tax Withholding taxes (EWT, FWT, Compensation) Corporate Income Tax & MCIT Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) on loan transactions Review tax computations for accuracy Support tax planning initiatives Manage BIR audits, LOAs, and assessments Maintain tax risk register C.

Intercompany & Transfer Pricing Oversee intercompany reconciliations across entities Monitor intercompany loans and interest accruals Ensure transfer pricing documentation support Coordinate with regional finance teams Prepare related party disclosures D.

Fintech-Specific Accounting Ensure proper revenue recognition for lending/service income Monitor loan portfolio accounting Validate system-generated accounting entries Support new product tax assessment (BNPL, lending, wallet, etc.) E.

Controls & Process Leadership Strengthen internal controls Lead accounting system improvements Develop SOPs Mentor junior accountants Coordinate external audit Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, CPA preferred 5–8+ years accounting experience (financial services/fintech preferred) Strong BIR audit exposure , Experience in intercompany and multi-entity accounting Advanced Excel skills , ERP experience Powered by JazzHR
