Accounting Clerk / US Bookkeeper

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our growing team.

In this role, you’ll support multiple client accounts by managing day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks, maintaining clean and accurate books, and assisting with month-end close activities.

You’ll work primarily in QuickBooks Online, collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, and play a key role in ensuring financial data is reliable, timely, and audit-ready.

What You’ll Be Responsible For Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Manage daily AP and AR activities for multiple client accounts Process vendor bills, customer invoices, payments, and credit memos Maintain vendor records and required documentation Follow up with vendors and customers regarding payment or billing issues Bookkeeping & Month-End Support Record, categorize, and reconcile transactions in the accounting system Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements Prepare schedules and support month-end closing activities Maintain organized financial files and audit-ready documentation Reporting & Financial Support Prepare AP aging, AR aging, basic reports, and variance notes Assist with cash flow tracking and weekly financial updates Support forecasting or analytical tasks as needed (training provided) Handle ad hoc finance and administrative tasks tied to client engagements Systems & Continuous Learning Use QuickBooks Online and other accounting systems daily Work comfortably in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, cleanup, and analysis Learn and support elements of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (training provided; curiosity required) Identify process gaps and suggest workflow improvements What We’re Looking For 2–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, AP/AR, or accounting support (Open to strong accounting or finance graduates with clear aptitude) Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (filters, pivot tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, etc.) High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data Solid understanding of basic accounting principles Strong communication skills with the ability to ask questions, flag issues, and follow up effectively Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting multiple clients or a US-based company Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Comfort working in a fast-paced, small-team environment What We Offer ClearSource offers a competitive salary along with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
