What you’ll do
The Assistant Client Manager plays a key supportive role in the delivery of top tier tax and accounting services to our ever-expanding portfolio of international clients. They assist in the execution of day-to-day client services delivery, working closely with the Client Manager and senior technical team members to facilitate all aspects of service delivery, ensuring a positive customer experience across their portfolio.
Liaise with Senior Client Manager to support the delivery of broader Tax and Accounting services across client portfolio, including acting as first point of contact to various stakeholders.
Business development and client relationship initiatives in order to strengthen our customer service and marketing programs.
Maintain client records and documentation in accordance with internal systems and compliance requirements.
Support cost controls and efficiency by identifying and implementing improvements as appropriate and in consultation with senior technical team members (Senior Managers, Client Manager, etc.)
Identify and communicate client pain points internally, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Support organisational compliance with public practice regulations, requirements, standards, and other guidance.
Assist with bookkeeping, payroll processing, and other foundational service delivery as appropriate and within skills.
What makes you a great fit
The candidate is required to possess the ability to conduct themselves professionally within the workplace and demonstrate the following:
Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in a similar professional services (or related) environment, ideally with experience in a role with client engagement, bookkeeping and/or accounting responsibilities
Proven experience in foundational Australian compliance, tax and accounting skills and processes
Knowledge of Xero and a sound grasp of day-to-day accounting workflows
Comfortable with ATO compliance including BAS, IAS and STP obligations
Tertiary Accounting qualifications highly regarded (e.g. B. Commerce/Accounting, etc.)
Excellent time management skills and ability to work and communicate under pressure;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to work autonomously / self-motivated / accountable for own work;
Excellent client relationship and business development skills;
Strong in technology applications and process improvement mindset;
Entrepreneurial mindsight focused on growth and process improvement;
