The Artwork System Assistant supports the day‑to‑day operation of artwork management systems and digital workflows used to route and review packaging artwork. This role is operational and systems‑focused, ensuring requests, briefs, assets, and approvals flow reliably through the toolset. The assistant partners closely with Artwork/Packaging, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, and External Agencies to maintain data accuracy, uphold process standards, and reduce delays—without owning timeline planning or creative decisions, for a leading Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) client. With over 2 years of experience in any of the following: artwork/packaging operations, marketing operations, PLM/PIM/labeling workflows, or digital asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
System Operations & Workflow
- Create, validate, and route jobs/requests in the artwork systems
- Ensure correct project metadata (SKU, market, language, pack format, version, regulatory fields) and folder structures.
- Trigger, monitor, and close workflow steps (brief intake, technical checks, review cycles, approvals, finalization) and follow up on stuck steps or overdue actions.
Data Integrity & Governance
- Perform data quality checks; correct missing/incorrect fields; maintain naming conventions and taxonomy.
- Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and versioning rules.
- Ensure traceability, system logs, and records retention are complete.
User Support & Enablement
- Serve as key support for end‑users: access issues, routing questions, uploading/downloading assets, basic troubleshooting.
- Log and track resolution and communicate updates in process
- Prepare quick guides and support onboarding/training sessions (Super user)
- Send physical product samples for new PIA creation
- Flag bottlenecks and recurring defects; propose fixes to templates, workflows, or routing rules.
Skills – needed but not limited to
- Bachelor’s degree in design, project management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end process of artwork, printing and digital assets creation in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) environment
- Familiarity in artwork and design software is beneficial; while direct design involvement is not required, a basic understanding of platforms like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) can enhance communication with creative teams.
- 2+ years of experience in artwork management, packaging, or project management within a CPG or FMCG environment.
- Detail Orientation: Cares about data accuracy, version control, and naming conventions.
- Process Discipline: Follows SOPs and escalation paths; documents changes.
- Service Mindset: Patient and responsive with end‑users; clear, concise communication.
- Problem Solving: Identifies root causes; proposes pragmatic fixes to forms, steps, or routing.
