Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Medical IT Engineer to lead the implementation, integration, and support of our PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System) solutions. This role is instrumental in driving the day-to-day operations of our Health Informatics division — from pre-installation planning to after-sales support — while also playing a key role in team development and
vendor coordination.
You will collaborate closely with clinical applications and engineering teams, liaise with PACS / RIS principals, and ensure seamless integration with hospital IT systems. As part of a growing division within a well-established Filipino medical company representing top-tier medical imaging brands, you will be at the forefront of healthcare digitalization in the country.
Candidates must have strong working knowledge of HL7, DICOM, networking, and hospital IT infrastructure, with real-world experience in deploying PACS / RIS in clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Installation Planning & Coordination
Lead early-stage planning of PACS / RIS deployments in collaboration with sales and clinical teams to ensure all technical requirements are addressed before go-live.
Conduct client site assessments and document system / network requirements
Align implementation plans with radiology workflows and hospital infrastructure
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover and deployment readiness
2. PACS / RIS System Implementation
Oversee hands-on installation, configuration, and deployment of PACS / RIS platforms, ensuring optimized clinical performance and interoperability.
Deploy systems including servers, workstations, and databases
Integrate PACS / RIS with HIS, EMR, and imaging modalities
Conduct acceptance testing and manage go-live operations
3. Systems Integration & Standards Compliance
Ensure seamless data exchange using industry standards while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Configure and troubleshoot HL7 interfaces and DICOM services (MWL, MPPS, etc.)
Address data mapping, RIS-PACS synchronization, and modality connectivity issues
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DOH, and other applicable privacy / security standards
4. Technical Support (Level 1 & 2)
Act as the first line of support for client issues, providing timely resolution and coordination with Level 3 / vendor support when needed.
Investigate system errors, performance issues, and connectivity problems
Resolve software and hardware-related service requests within SLAs
Maintain detailed service records and escalation logs
5. System Maintenance & Monitoring
Proactively maintain system health and performance to ensure optimal uptime and user experience.
Monitor logs, network traffic, and server health metrics
Perform routine updates, backups, and system optimizations

7. Internal IT Support (Medical Imaging Division)
Support the division’s in-house PACS / RIS demo and support environments.
Maintain internal demo environments for training and sales use
Provide ad hoc support for internal IT needs tied to imaging platforms
Assist in technical showcases during pre-sales engagements
8. Continuous Learning & Industry Awareness
Stay ahead of emerging trends in medical IT and contribute insights back into the organization.
