Job Summary :
The Warehouse Staff is primarily responsible for the physical handling and proper organization of Japan Surplus items inside the warehouse. This includes unloading, transferring, sorting, stacking, and preparing items for auction or retail display. They must ensure order, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards in all areas of warehouse operations. The role requires fast movement, strength, and the ability to work in a hot, dusty, and physically demanding environment.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist in unloading containers of surplus goods upon arrival.
Lift, carry, and move heavy items (appliances, tools, furniture, etc.) to assigned areas.
Sort and arrange items by category, size, or product type for auction display or retail use.
Help during setup and teardown of auction events (e.g., arranging chairs, placing items, securing display).
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse work areas.
Coordinate with warehouse checker and coder for proper item tagging.
Report any damaged or unusual items to the supervisor immediately.
Follow company protocols for safety, efficiency, and proper handling.
Qualifications :
High School Graduate or college level
Physically strong and fit; must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy items (e.g., appliances, furniture)
Must be fast-moving and able to perform tasks quickly and efficiently
Must have no respiratory or medical conditions that could be triggered by dust, heat, or heavy lifting
Willing to work in hot, non-air-conditioned, and dusty environments
Willing to work extended hours and under pressure
Hardworking, honest, and dependable
Can follow instructions and complete tasks without constant supervision
Prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus
