Responsibilities
- Become a Workday Financials expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
- Recommend the best solution based on client requirements, budget, and timeline; adapt scope as needs evolve.
- Lead facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and client requirements at all project stages.
- Engage with the client through all project phases, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to Workday.
- Perform tasks under limited direction and keep client, project team, and Engagement Manager updated on progress and changes.
- Mentor fellow consultants and analysts; support shadow assignments and internal knowledge sharing.
- Participate in update training and internal opportunities to share skills within the organization.
Qualifications & Skills
Active Workday Certification (Contracts-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report) or equivalent.Proficiency in Workday areas such as general ledger, budgeting, cash management, grant management, chart of accounts redesign, procure-to-pay, POs, expenses, assets, and / or order-to-cash.Report writing and composite reporting experience is desired.Strong customer service orientation and collaboration skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to manage customer expectations.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Open to travel as required and comfortable working with global teams.Why Cognizant
