The Restaurant Accountant is responsible for the timely validation and accurate recording of sales and sales-related transaction of stores. He / she is also responsible in providing support to various stores which includes processing of petty cash replenishment, restaurant financial audits, assistance on permits processing and other store-related concerns.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily audit of store and tender
- Ensure daily posting of sales and tender of stores and initiate adjustment in the
system, if necessary
Reconcile sales and tender on a daily basis. Provide exception reports to store andadjust related accounts in the system
Performa bank reconciliation accounts (cash and credit card bank accounts) and adjustrelated accounts in the system
Prepare and file BIR reportProcess replenishment of store petty cash fund based on agreed policies andprocedures
Initiate recording of petty cash replenishment to appropriate account ledgers / costcenters in the system
Assist in the processing of permits for new stores and renewal of permits for existingstores
Perform record management relative to the AP function in accordance with recordsretention policies and procedures
Prepare weekly / monthly sales reports and other analyses as required bymanagement and lessorsPrepare weekly / monthly sales reports and other analyses as required by managementand lessors
Participate in year-end count of the storesQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / FinanceMust possess a minimum of 2 years experienceExperience in retail or restaurant accountingUnderstanding of internal controls especially in various accounts payable process and controlsCOMPETENCIES
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including ability to operate computerized accountingsystem
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and analytical skillsEffective oral / written communication skills required to interact with store personnelStrong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlinesAbility to work independently or as a team member.
