Senior CAD Designer (Cabinetry and Joinery)
Work Setup : Full-time, Work-from-Home
Salary Range : PHP 70,000 – 90,000 per month
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior CAD Designer to lead the design and drafting of cabinetry, architectural joinery, and custom furniture for commercial, institutional, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all designs are production-ready, optimized for manufacturing, and compliant with Australian industry standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate architectural and interior design drawings into detailed CAD and CNC-ready models and specifications
- Develop complete assemblies, component parts, cutlists, hardware schedules, and shop drawings
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, site teams, and clients to resolve design and constructability issues
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior CAD designers or drafters (if applicable)
- Maintain consistency in CAD standards, layer naming, tolerances, and design protocols
- Review drawings and assess feasibility, coordinating design changes where necessary
- Generate 3D renderings or presentations to support client reviews
- Stay current with Australian joinery standards, building codes, and manufacturing technologies
- Liaise with procurement and manufacturing teams to align designs with machine capacities and material yields
- Conduct quality checks of drawings and models prior to submission
- Participate in design and value-engineering meetings to support cost optimization

Key Qualifications
Industry Experience in the Australian Market : Prior experience in Australia’s building, joinery, or cabinetry sector, with familiarity in materials, hardware, and relevant standards (e.g. Australian Standards, Building Code, joinery tolerances)Proficiency in Cabinet Vision : Extensive hands-on experience with Cabinet Vision (models, assemblies, cutlists, hardware, nesting, CNC integration)Strong 3D CAD & Drafting Skills : Skilled in 3D modelling, generating shop drawings, detailed elevations, and exploded viewsManufacturing Mindset : Deep understanding of tolerances, material handling, and joinery methods to ensure manufacturabilityExcellent Communication : Strong written and verbal English; able to collaborate effectively across time zones and clearly present design rationaleSelf-driven and Organized : Capable of managing time, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high productivity with minimal supervisionPortfolio Required : Demonstrated experience in cabinetry, joinery, or architectural furniture projects (samples or screenshots encouraged)Nice to Have
