Base pay range

$200.00 / hr - $200.00 / hr

You didn't build your expertise in IB, PE, or Big 4 Corporate Finance only to police budgets and rubber‑stamp slide decks.

You're here to design, challenge, and drive — transforming ambiguous strategy into ironclad execution frameworks, not multi-year projections that gather dust. You've honed the discipline of financial modeling in high-pressure settings. Now you're ready to apply that craft where it informs real operating decisions, not just pitch books. This is that opportunity.

Trilogy seeks a finance strategist with operational instincts and dealmaker precision : someone who excels amid uncertainty, takes ownership of results, and harnesses AI as a force multiplier. You'll collaborate directly with founders and senior leaders to define the trajectory of SaaS and education ventures, constructing the financial infrastructure and investment logic that enable these businesses to scale efficiently, not recklessly.

If your perfect week involves dissecting a flawed business case, reconstructing it with phased milestones and KPI boundaries, and delivering a memo that commands the executive team's attention, this role will suit you.

You won't oversee large teams. You won't audit expense reports. You won't wait years to see results. You'll craft strategy with velocity, discipline, and AI-augmented rigor, and your contributions will alter the course of ventures reshaping industries.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Constructing and maintaining integrated 3‑statement models with granular drivers, ERP‑fed inputs, and AI‑powered scenario analysis.
  • Delivering complete investment packages — financial models, sensitivity tables, and executive‑ready memos — within 72 hours.
  • Stress‑testing key metrics like CAC, retention, pricing, and utilization to sharpen clarity and expose critical assumptions.
  • Transforming brittle business plans into structured, trackable execution roadmaps anchored by KPI thresholds.
  • Maintaining and evolving dynamic financial systems that enable real‑time decision‑making across SaaS and education portfolios.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Managing month‑end close, audit preparation, or compliance tasks — this is not a controller or traditional FP&A position.
  • Building or mentoring large teams — your influence stems from quality of output, not span of control.
  • Producing presentations that languish unopened — every proposal must rest on rigorous models, validated assumptions, and an explicit decision framework.
  • Working at a measured pace — this environment is intentionally fast, AI‑driven, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Waiting for approval to challenge the status quo — your role is to interrogate strategy and elevate its clarity and speed.
  • Division CFO Key Responsibilities

Design and operate an AI‑enhanced financial infrastructure that informs critical investment choices, supports scalable growth, and delivers operational clarity across rapidly expanding SaaS and education businesses.

    Basic Requirements

  • 5+ years in IB, PE, or Big 4 M&A / Corporate Finance (excluding audit / tax), with hands‑on experience in deal modeling, stakeholder engagement, and investment evaluation.
  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA, or MBA, with strong command of US GAAP / IFRS and consolidated financial statements.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools for financial modeling, scenario design, research, memo creation, and process automation.
  • History of delivering models and executive‑level recommendations that combine speed, precision, and strategic insight.
  • Based in time zones between UTC‑8 and UTC+3.
  • Nice‑to‑have Requirements

  • Familiarity with SaaS or EdTech operating models.
  • Background in designing financial systems, not only working within existing frameworks.
  • Experience in fast‑moving, founder‑driven settings with fluid priorities and direct communication cultures.
