Software Engineer

About the job : Senior Software Engineer (FullStack) – Hybrid – BGC – Taguig

Work arrangement : Hybrid work, Mon to Fri, 3 times onsite per week – Shift : 9 AM to 6 PM

Salary : Up to 150,000 PHP (based on experience)

Qualifications

At least 7 years of Software Engineering experience
Proven leadership of a software development team (3+ engineers) or experience managing complex system environments
Superior programming experience – preferably in Python; experience with Java is acceptable
Strong SQL capabilities; experience designing data models and optimizing code
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), databases (SQL), operating systems, and cloud technology
Familiarity with Spring Boot, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, microservices, and scripting in Java / Python
Understanding of ECS Fargate, Linux, firewall configuration, and secure deployment environments
Ability to work independently and understand broader solution design

Responsibilities

Provide subject‑matter expertise for design, definition, and implementation of high‑performing, secure, and cost‑efficient solutions

Guide the evolution of solutions within the Business Application Group platforms of expertise

Develop and drive robust software development best practices and elevate the Group’s standing as an innovation partner

Participate in the development and review of software standards, solution documentation, and implementation practices; provide guidance to junior colleagues through peer reviews

Establish strong relationships with business stakeholders, team members, and platform teams across various Chapters

Remain current on new technologies and secure application development practices; serve as a technical lead for a specific group of applications

Mentor junior colleagues to facilitate skills and knowledge development through coaching and training opportunities

Live and spark values, positively influence business users and team members

Timely complete all compliance obligations and trainings, including relevant professional certification if applicable

Ensure compliance of the software development lifecycle through robust technical design and strict coding standards
