As a Credit Officer , you’ll play a key role in evaluating commercial loan applications, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with Australian credit policies. From reviewing complex company financials to analysing real estate valuations, you’ll provide clear, well‑structured recommendations that drive smart lending decisions. This role requires sharp judgement, financial expertise, and the ability to balance risk with opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assess commercial loan applications for property and business lending
• Analyse Australian real estate valuations and market trends
• Review and interpret company and business financial statements, including complex structures
• Apply credit policies, lending frameworks, and compliance standards to decisions
• Liaise with brokers, clients, and internal teams for clarifications and verifications
• Prepare clear, accurate credit recommendations for approvals
• Identify potential risks and recommend mitigations
• At least 3+ years’ experience in commercial lending or credit assessment (Australia market)
• Strong understanding of Australian property markets and valuation principles
• Skilled in analysing company financials and business structures
• Knowledge of credit policies, compliance, and responsible lending practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
