Job Purpose :
This position is responsible for providing overall strategic leadership and direction to Supply Chain function to ensure efficient and effective operations of the supply chain operations, and the availability of products and services anchored on the short, medium and long-term plan of the company. It is accountable for the end-to-end supply chain, including sourcing, procuring, planning and distributing of products and services.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Logistics and Supply Planning Strategy
- Provides direction and guidance in creating an effective and robust supply chain strategy.
- Leads in the implementation and ensure the efficiency of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) at the National Level leading to the fastest and cost-effective distribution of products.
- Ensures that efficient systems and processes are in place for seamless supply planning and execution to achieve company goals and objectives
- Provides direction in developing and implementing supply chain and distribution network models, ensuring the engagement of various stakeholders.
- Cascades strategies and ensures consistent application according to plan.
2. Logistics Operations
Provides direction and guidance in developing and implementing a robust logistics operations strategies and network optimizing resources for the best utilization of assets in delivering products to the customers.Ensures Logistics KPIs and dashboards are defined and tracked regularly with the ability to proactively respond to issues and situations.3. Procurement Services
Provides analytics and recommendations for the best possible logistics network footprintLeads in the evaluation of manufacturing and supply footprint to optimize the network and ensures effective distribution of products to customers and a well-managed Logistics costManages the contracting process of third-party logistics partners (3PL and 4PL) for cost and operational efficiencyPuts in place systems and procedures for the efficient transport fleet management4. Materials Resource Management
Provides leadership in establishing efficient systems for ordering, warehousing, and inventory management of raw and packaging materials and spare partsEnsures that systems and processes are in place for the timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, RGB, containers, and supplies at the best cost5. Projects and CAPEX Management
Leads in developing CAPEX strategies, identifying and prioritizing projects that supports the overall business strategyOversees the timely implementation and tracking of CAPEX projects, time, cost, and overall result6. Performance Management & Improvement
Establishes, drives, monitors, and benchmarks Key Performance Indicators to ensure that logistics performance is properly and proactively managedLeads in the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives to reduce distribution cost and other related costs, increase operational efficiency and capability, optimize the use of company resources7. Annual Operating Plan and Cost Management
Prepares department budget, monitors and ensures operational expenses are within approved budgetEvaluates and implements cost-savings opportunities while maintaining the quality and level of serviceLeads Logistics team in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve quality, increase productivity, and maximize resources8. Organization and People Development
Coaches, mentors, and identifies training and developmental needs and job competencies of line personnel to build a well-informed, well-trained, empowered workforce, and stable organizationConducts periodic staff meeting to update plans and initiativesEngages the workforce in establishing harmonious relationships and follows the proper implementation of Company Rules & Regulations including discipline, work attendance, etc.Provides feedback, motivation, recognition, and support to the team to enhance engagement9. Requirements
College Graduate : any Engineering courses or Supply Chain ManagementMore than twenty years of professional experience in FMCG, Cosmetics / Pharma, Foodservice / Food chain operations, with ten years in a managerial / leadership capacityIn-depth exposure and demonstrated capability in supply chain transformation initiatives, inventory and distribution management, project management, and contractor and business partner managementExpertise in managing multiple projects with competing priorities and stakeholdersStrong business acumenOwn and deliver the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the business unitLead with an aggressive, results-driven leadership style to motivate and challenge the team.Internal and External Interactions
