The Front Desk Virtual Assistant supports smooth patient onboarding and communication for the practice. This role focuses on managing patient documentation, verifying information, coordinating appointments, and ensuring accurate, HIPAA-compliant record handling.
Key Responsibilities
Send, track, and follow up on patient intake and consent forms.
Verify insurance cards, IDs, and general patient information.
Handle appointment confirmations, rescheduling, and cancellations.
Respond to patient emails and messages promptly and professionally.
Maintain and update patient records accurately and securely (HIPAA compliant).
Upload billing, credentialing, or related documents as needed.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a front desk role within a remote medical practice.
Solid understanding of medical documentation and basic insurance verification.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling patient information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and ensure consistent follow-up.
Proficiency with EMR / EHR systems is preferred.
Schedule & Compensation :
This role
will start as part-tim
for the first 2 months (25 hours per week)and
will transition to full-time
(40 hours per week)afterward. The pay rate for this position is $6–$7 per hour.
