Admin / Bookkeeper (Australian Experience Required)
Position: Remote Admin/Bookkeeper
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Rate: USD 7-8 AUD per hour (negotiable)
About the Role
Our disability sypport client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Admin/Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience working with Australian clients is highly proficient in Xero and has a solid understanding of Australian accounting standards GST and BAS preparation. Prior experience in the NDIS industry is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare and lodge quarterly BAS and GST submissions in line with Australian compliance requirements
Generate accurate Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports for management review
Coordinate with external accountants for annual financials audits and tax compliance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using Xero and ShiftCare
Ensure financial records align with NDIS pricing arrangements funding rules and
compliance standards.
Track NDIS-related income invoices and service claims accurately
Support NDIS audits reporting and documentation as required
Assist with administrative tasks including email management data entry document
management and record keeping
Maintain organized client provider and financial files to support operational efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years experience providing bookkeeping or accounting services for Australian clients
Has extensive experience using XERO (certification not required)
Strong knowledge of Australian GST and BAS reporting
Prior experience in the NDIS industry is preferred
High attention to detail with strong accuracy and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Personal traits: reliable organized analytical and detail-focused
Tools & Software
Xero and ShiftCare
Must have Working knowledge with SCHADS
Must have Working knowledge with SCHADS
Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
Slack and Zoom for communication
