Learning Strategist / Design Consultant
Position Overview
A strategic consulting firm that partners with leaders at science-led companies to build cultures that thrive. We are looking for a high performing Learning Designer / Instructional Designer who will design and develop comprehensive learning programs and experiences that drive organizational transformation in corporate environments.
You will translate strategic insights into engaging, interactive learning programs using creative learning experience design, innovative approaches, and cutting-edge technologies.
This role combines human-centered learning experience design expertise, immersive design, hands-on content creation, innovative thinking, and project management.
You will be part of a client-facing consulting team working to transform organizational needs into powerful learning experiences while bringing creative, forward-thinking approaches to traditional corporate learning challenges, primarily for facilitated experiences (in person and virtual).

Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Analysis
Understand our enterprise clients' industries and strategic objectives
Conduct stakeholder interviews across departments to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities
Analyze existing training programs, employee feedback, and organizational data to identify gaps
Research company financial metrics, investor reports, and strategic priorities to inform recommendations
Create compelling decks that translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights
Design & Development
Design comprehensive human-centered learning experiences based on adult learning principles and innovative instructional approaches, for both in-person and virtually facilitated formats
Bring fresh, innovative approaches to traditional corporate capability-building challenges
Create design documents to gain alignment with and iterate on program design with clients and stakeholders
Create comprehensive facilitator guides, slide decks, and participant program materials and experience supports (handbooks, cheat sheets, job aids, toolkits) for in-person and virtually-facilitated programs (primary focus)
Build interactive e-learning modules using Articulate 360 with creative, engaging elements (secondary focus)
Develop engaging multimedia content including videos, interactive simulations, and assessments (secondary focus)
Design professional slide decks with strong visual storytelling and clear narrative flow
Maintain consistency in branding, messaging, and instructional approach across all programs
Ensure all digital content is accessible and optimized for various devices and platforms
Facilitate pilot testing with target audiences, synthesize inputs, and iterate based on feedback
Client / Project Management
Build client and stakeholder relationships that uncover their evolving needs
Create structured project workplans with tracked milestones
Manage learning design projects with strong attention to detail and timelines
Maintain transparent communication with clients and internal teams through proactive updates and documentation
Facilitate effective client meetings with thorough preparation and comprehensive follow-up

Experience Design Mindset : Applies human-centered design principles to create seamless, engaging learner journeys that feel intuitive and memorable from first touchpoint to completion, with particular expertise in highly interactive face-to-face and virtually-facilitated experiences Business Acumen : Demonstrates curiosity about clients' industries, business models, and strategic challenges to design learning solutions that are deeply relevant to their organizational context Learning Design Expertise : Strong foundation in adult learning principles and curriculum design with ability to create innovative programs that drive measurable behavior change in corporate environments Project Management Excellence : Demonstrates strong organizational skills in managing multiple learning projects simultaneously with precision timing and stakeholder coordination Presentation & Communication Excellence : Excellent communication skills, including the ability to lead client meetings, present findings and recommendations clearly, and build rapport with stakeholders Technical Skills : Expert PowerPoint skills; Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Rise / Storyline) and ability to create engaging, interactive digital learning experiences with creative flair Innovation & Creative Problem-Solving : Brings fresh perspectives to traditional training challenges, developing novel solutions that engage modern learners Qualifications Bachelor's degree 6+ years of experience designing and building in-person and virtual programs as a learning designer in corporate environments Strong project management capabilities with experience managing multiple initiatives and stakeholder relationships Expert-level PowerPoint skills including slide design, visual storytelling, and presentation development Excellent presentation and communication skills when working directly with clients, including the ability to lead project meetings, present findings and recommendations clearly, and build rapport with stakeholders Creative mindset with demonstrated ability to bring innovative approaches to learning challenges Solid proficiency with Articulate 360 / Storyline or similar Basic proficiency with video editing and graphic design tools Familiarity with and curiosity for using AI tools for learning enhancement Adult Learning and Instructional Design skills Work environment This is a remote role in a fast-paced environment Occasional travel to a client site may be beneficial (Hyd
