Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities :
- Inspect incoming materials, fabricated / subcontracted materials and other related device for conformance to requirements
- Prepare CMM program for new parts / design.
- Prepare set-ups utilizing precision measuring instruments to verify all types of measurements.
- Report all relevant issues to QA Supervisor and QA Manager on a timely manner.
- Interact with various department supervisors to identify and resolve issues. Provide input regarding the disposition of non-conforming units or materials.
- Utilizing computer software in recording inspection data.
- Ensure inspection traceability by properly recording result of inspection either by hard copy or soft copy
- Conduct quality audits.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with relevant experience in interpretation of mechanical drawingExperience : At least one year mechanical inspection. Strong working knowledge of geometric tolerancing and shop mathematics. Experience with precision measuring instruments (surface plate or table, protractors, micrometers, gauges), standard hand tools, coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and optical comparator.Skills / Technical Requirements : Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, quality assurance standards. Ability to create CMM program for complex engineering drawing. Good oral and written communication skills.Physical Demands / Strengths : Walking, sitting, standing, bending. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Job Conditions : Manufacturing / lab environment with constant or intermittent noise.
Protective Devices Required : ESD protection, electrical safety precautions, may also depend in required areas.
