(AS) Accounting Lead/Supervisor - Retail

Summary:

As the Accounting Supervisor/Lead, you will lead the accounting team, overseeing its daily activities and ensuring that all month-end, quarter-end and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years work experience related to Accounting Lead/Supervisor.
• Must be CPA
• Have a capacity to lead or manage a small team with 2 direct reports.
• Knowledge in full sets of Accounts (AP/AR, balance sheet), primary focus in managing, overseeing, creating process, closing books.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Highly proficient in key software such as MS Office
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Self-propelled and willing to learn the business.
• Knowledge of brokerage business or similar field a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all accounting processes align with current financial legislation.
• Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
• Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
• Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
• Keeping informed about the latest developments in the finance industry.

• Monday to Friday; day-shift schedule
