ACCOUNTING OFFICER
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight :
o Manage general ledger activities and ensure timely month-end and year-end closings
o Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
o Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Team Leadership :
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including AR / AP officers and bookkeepers
- Delegate tasks and review outputs for accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development
Compliance & Controls :
Ensure adherence to tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policiesCoordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodiesImplement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assetsReporting & Analysis :
Generate management reports and variance analysesProvide financial insights to support strategic planning and operational decisionsCollaborate with other departments to align financial goalsInventory & Cost Accounting (if applicable) :
Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliationMonitor cost accounting processes for manufacturing or logistics operationsQualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (Non-CPA)Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleProficiency in accounting software and MS ExcelStrong analytical, leadership, and communication skillsKnowledge of local tax codes, financial reporting standards, and audit proceduresRequirements
