About the role
PHI Aviation is seeking an experienced and dedicated Helicopter AW139 Captain to joinour team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and
efficient operation of our helicopter fleet, ensuring all flights are conducted
in compliance with company policies and aviation regulations.
This position will be on a 28 : 28
touring roster flying from any major capital in the world to our base in the
Philippines.
Responsibilities of the role
include :
The completion of flights as scheduled
in a safe and timely manner as appropriate.
Decisions on flight cancellations, and
delays, or otherwise amending flights (such circumstances to be reported to the
Senior Base Pilot or Base & Contract Manager).
The observance of all Regulatory and
Client rules and regulations, and the relevant OEM RFM.
The Captain shall conform to the
Company directives and procedures contained within the Company Operations
Manual (OMA, OMB, OMC, OMD, OMF and OI’s, OIB’s and LOIs, as appropriate),
during the flight planning, pre‐flight inspection and checks, in flight operations
and in post flight reporting and activity;
Undertaking those tasks and duties of a
non‐flying nature including, but not limited to, paperwork, helicopter
husbandry and facility housekeeping etc., that may be assigned from time to
time by the Senior Base Pilot, Base & Contract Manager or higher
management.
Ensuring all licences, ratings, medical
certificates and applicable proficiency requirements are current in accordance
with regulation and Company requirements prior to undertaking any form
commercial flight activity.
Providing timely advice to the Training
Department and Senior Base Pilot or Base & Contract Manager whenever any
licence, rating, FLV, visa, medical certificate, or proficiency check is coming
due or has been renewed.
Ensuring that any training or testing
required to maintain any of the requirements above has been assigned in a
timeframe that allows the Captain to remain fully qualified for their assigned
operation.
The operation and safety of any
aircraft commanded and the safety of all persons on board. The Captain has
final authority for the disposition of the aircraft during the time in which
they are in command. Delegation of duties to other crew members shall in no way
affect ultimate responsibility for the safe conduct of the flight.
The completion of flight planning and
the establishment and maintenance of communications with the responsible
authority as necessary.
Where applicable and when appropriately
approved by the Training Department, the Captain will provide opportunities for
the Co‐Pilots to increase their skill and knowledge in standard operating
procedures.
