FHI 360 is seeking a qualified candidate who will serve astheBusinessOfficial (BO)fora potentialUS CDC-funded work that seeksto reduce tuberculosis (TB) burden and mortality in countries and settings with high TB burden in Southeast Asia by strengthening the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of TB through the adoption and expansion of innovative approaches. Activities will focus on : (1) Expanding early TB diagnosisbyimplementing active case finding using advanced and innovative screening methods and scale-up of novel TB diagnostic approaches, (2) Advancing TB prevention interventions including expansion of TB preventive treatment to at risk populations, conducting readiness assessments and introduction of new TB vaccines, and increasing infection prevention and control capacity and support. (3) Improving TB and drug-resistant TB treatment outcomes for all individuals affected by TB by implementation of novel and shorter TB treatment regimens.
JobSummary :
If the prospective project is awarded to FHI 360,theBusinessOfficial willsupport a US CDC fundedprojectmanaging,preparing,administeringanddirectingthe control of the budget.Theywillmanage the activities of the financial analyst staff.Theywillreview and approve recommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevant fiscal information tothe project director / principal investigatorand / orthe project’ssenior management team.Theywillassistwithdevelopmentand management ofthe project’sinternal financial audits.Theymay develop formal reporting systemsto communicate results of audit activities toproject and other FHI 360 programmanagement and regulatory compliance agencies.Theywillprovideleadership and technical guidance for compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP). Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal AcquisitionRegulations(FAR)mayalsoberequired.Experienceincomprehensivemanagement of business support and compliance functions in organizations funded via government, contracts and grants, foundation, and commercial sources.Theywillselect,developand evaluaterelevantpersonnel toensure the efficient operation of the function.
Accountabilities :
Reviews and analyzes monthly financial reportsregardingbudgets- actual andforecast.
Providesrecommendationsandconsultswithmanagementonfinancialprojectsandcompliances.
Participatesandprovidesfinancialreportingforannualbudgetplanning,auditreviewsandassessmentsensuring proper documentation and reporting.
Engagesin the more critical and confidential aspects of financialanalysis.
Dutiesrequirebroadconceptualjudgment,initiativeandabilitytodealwithawiderangeoffinanceissues.
Oversees cash flow forecasting ensuring liquidity for operations in the project supported countries.
Workswithconfidentialdata,whichifdisclosed,mighthavesignificantinternaland / or externaleffect.
Keeps abreast with the latest trends in financial accounting andmentorsstaff.
Ensures compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies in the project supported countries.
Leads risk managementteamsand initiatives and oversees project related insurance and liability coverage
Buildsandtrainsstaffonfinancialpoliciesandprocedures,GAAPpracticesandclientrelationships.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education :

Experience :
Minimumof5-8yearsrelatedworkexperience,including3yearsinmanagementand3 years working at the corporate or organization level.
Past experiencemanaging a financial analysis department isrequired.
Must be abletoread,writeandspeakfluentEnglish.
Prior work in a non-governmental organization (NGO)is preferred.
Experience working with an internationalorganizationis preferred.
Experience working with theUSG, particularly US CDC, USAIDor Department of State experience isrequired.
