AVP for Legal - (Conglomerate Operations)

Duties and Responsibilities :

Responsible for the over-all management of and monitoring of legal information and compliance aspect for the corporation. Represents the company in litigation, administrative conferences and other proceedings of similar nature.

Overall management of Legal related compliances of the company including all government mandated issuances and promulgations.

Represent the company in cases including but not limited to civil, criminal and labor cases. Representation covers entry of appearance, submission of pleadings, court hearings, until the cases are decided by the appropriate authority.

Represents the company in Government agencies, including but not limited to SEC, BIR, LGUs and other similar agencies. Representation covers entry of appearance, submission of pleadings, court hearings, until the cases are decided by the appropriate authority.

Negotiation, drafting and review of contracts the company enters in to including third party business partners, suppliers, vendors, agencies and the like

Provide legal advice to corporate inquiries and other activities which may need review and assistance.

Tracking and monitoring various anticipated and on-going litigation matters.

Represent the company in engagements and activities requiring legal expertise and knowledge.

Education and Work Experience Requirements :

Graduate of Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor, Bar Passer or equivalent.

Preferably has a prior experience in a role with similar responsibilities and qualifications specializing in Law / Legal services.

At least 5 years of legal experience practicing law post preferably with knowledge in legislation and regulation of corporations.

Strong organizational, research and interpersonal skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
