We are seeking an experienced Accountant with specialized expertise in Australian tax compliance to prepare accurate financial statements and tax returns for trusts, companies, partnerships, and individuals. The role requires analyzing investment vehicle transactions, reconciling accounting profit with taxable income, and ensuring adherence to AU tax regulations such as Division 7A loan calculations. This position is critical for delivering precise financial reporting and strategic tax solutions that align with client objectives and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and finalize financial statements and tax returns for trusts, companies, partnerships, and individuals with minimal revisions.
- Manage tax compliance for investment vehicles, including shareholdings, managed funds, and capital gains tax calculations.
- Reconcile accounting profit to taxable income, identifying and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Calculate Division 7A loan repayments and draft trust distribution plans based on historical tax and accounting data.
- Utilize pre-commencement tools and worksheets to plan workflows and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with AU tax laws, audit requirements, and client-specific guidelines.
- Maintain clear documentation and records to support financial decisions and audit readiness.

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who :
Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration.Minimum 4 years of AU tax experienceCan confidently prepare financial statements and tax returns for trusts, companies, partnerships, and individuals with minimal rework requiredExperience with preparing financial statements and tax returns for trusts and companies that are considered investment vehicles (shareholdings, managed funds, capital gains tax calculation), and the correlation between reconciling accounting profit and taxable incomeCalculating division 7a loan repaymentsDraft pattern of trust distributions based on prior year accounting and tax informationMust be well-versed in written and spoken EnglishMust be able to plan the job before commencement, using all tools and worksheets providedBenefits
