Trade Marketing Manager – FMCG / Pet Food
Individual Contributor Role - Remote
We are looking for a hands-on Trade Marketing Manager with strong FMCG or Pet Food experience to drive our visibility, activation, and conversion at the point of sale. This is an individual contributor role – perfect for someone who wants to own projects end-to-end and make a direct, visible impact.
About the Role :
As Trade Marketing Manager , you will be the key link between Brand Marketing and Sales , turning strategy into shopper-focused programs that win in-store and online. You’ll plan, execute, and optimize trade initiatives across channels (modern trade, general trade, pet specialty, e-commerce where applicable), working closely with internal teams and external partners.
You won’t manage a team directly, but you’ll lead through influence – driving alignment, project-managing initiatives, and ensuring excellent execution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Trade Strategy & Planning :
Develop and implement channel and customer-specific trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales targets.
Support annual and quarterly planning with clear priorities, calendars, and budgets.Activation & Execution :Plan and execute in-store activations, promotions, and visibility programs (POSM, displays, promotions, sampling, etc.).
Coordinate with Sales, agencies, and suppliers to deliver timely and high-quality execution.Support new product launches with strong trade activation plans and launch toolkits.Channel & Customer Support :Partner with Key Account / Sales teams to develop customer decks, selling stories, and activation proposals.
Customize trade programs by channel (e.g., supermarkets, convenience, pet shops, e-commerce).Insights, Reporting & Optimization :Use sales reports, category data, and shopper insights to sharpen trade plans and identify opportunities.
Track performance of promotions and activations (ROI, uplift, off-take, compliance) and recommend improvements.Monitor competitor activities and trends in FMCG / pet food trade marketing.Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration :Own projects end-to-end : brief, timeline, alignment, execution, and post-evaluation.
Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and external agencies to ensure smooth rollout of programs.What We’re Looking For :
3–6+ solid years of experience in Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Sales or Category roles within FMCG or Pet Food (or closely related categories).Strong experience in planning and executing trade activations and in-store visibility programs.Excellent project management skills – organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple initiatives at once.Commercially aware and comfortable working with numbers, sales data, and simple ROI analyses.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to influence without direct authority.Creative, resourceful, and hands-on – comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done.A natural marketer who understands shoppers, channels, and what really works at the point of sale.What We Offer :
