Title : Distributed Operator (fully work-from-home role) Core Function Operations is responsible for the 1st and 2nd level 24 / 7 x 365 support of various Distributed computer system environments to include monitoring, incident management and resolution.
Duties include batch and systems monitoring, application and server restarts, and engaging additional support teams as needed to resolve incidents.
Teams work an AWS (Alternate Work Schedule) consisting of 12-hour day and night shifts. Monitor Windows and UNIX environments and respond to alerts.
Manage incidents via multiple management systems to include ServiceNow, ISM, Maximo, and Remedy.
Familiarity with batch monitoring systems control-M, Tidal, Netcool, and other monitoring tools dependent on customer requirements.
Manage applications in Windows and Unix environments.
Problem determination and resolution skills on multiple platforms and applications.
Familiarity with Unix command line and HMC GUI.
Ability to monitor production and daily performance of all platforms.
Ability to understand and follow documented change management and recovery processes.
Technical and Operational Documentation.
Good verbal and written skills.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to pass various background and other screenings as needed to meet customer requirements.
Requirements Minimum of 2 years’ knowledge of Distributed environment Monitor and Manage Windows and UNIX environments and respond to alerts.
Proficient in ticketing tools : ServiceNow; Maximo; Remedy.
Be familiar with various monitoring tools in use.
Netcool, Bloodhound.
Familiarity with batch monitoring systems control-M, Tidal, Netcool.
Proficiency in using MS Office products to perform data processing and report generation as needed.
I.E, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
