Responsibilities
- Direct and manage daily, weekly, and monthly site operations to ensure performance targets are achieved or exceeded.
- Monitor key KPIs and collaborate with teams to continuously improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure operational processes follow DHL standards, Operating Management Systems (OMS), and continuous improvement programs.
- Drive the Operations Excellence agenda, supporting the rollout of improvement programs such as First Choice, Operations Basics, and OMS.
- Coordinate Site Development Plans and improvement initiatives across operational, IT, finance, and engineering functions.
- Implement roadmaps involving automation, optimization, and innovation with support from CI teams and process engineers.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to operations staff to maintain high performance and employee engagement.
- Conduct structured Gemba walks to assess performance, standardization, and employee adherence to best practices.
- Act as main operational contact for key customers, supporting business reviews, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Participate in renewals, customer development roadmaps, and support small to large bid activities.
- Ensure all site operations comply with safety regulations, DHL policies, and customer requirements.
- Support and monitor quality programs to ensure warehouse processes meet accuracy and compliance standards.
- Monitor and challenge productivity targets to ensure cost‑effective operations.
- Support margin improvement initiatives.
- Oversee proper resource allocation to maintain service levels efficiently.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate resolution across cross‑functional teams.
- Support problem‑solving activities using OMS and continuous improvement methodologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related fieldSeveral years of logistics / warehouse operations leadership experienceStrong team leadership and communication skillsKnowledge in continuous improvement (OMS, First Choice, Operations Basics)Customer‑facing and stakeholder management experienceFinancial and productivity management capabilityStrong focus on safety, compliance, and qualityKnowledge on problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and operational troubleshooting skillsFamiliarity with WMS tools and KPI reporting systems
