Overview

The Platform Architect plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data platform solutions that drive BDO’s data and analytics capabilities. This position ensures that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the bank’s Enterprise Architecture standards, enabling advanced analytics, AI, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions leveraging Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake).

Develop architecture frameworks and patterns to support Enterprise Data Platform and AI Platform adoption for analytics, reporting, and generative AI.

Oversee Master Data Management (MDM) architecture using Informatica MDM.

Ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture guardrails in all solution designs.

Integration & Governance

Drive integration of data solutions with data lineage, governance processes, and data quality standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance master data availability and integrity.

Performance Optimization

Optimize ETL processes and data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Provide technical support for platform performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with data platform owners, enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to align solutions with business goals.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new tools and approaches in data and AI platforms.

Explore emerging technologies, including generative AI, and drive adoption following SDLC best practices.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience : 5–7 years in platform architecture, data engineering, and enterprise data solutions.

Technical Skills :

Expertise in Azure services (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake).

Experience with Informatica MDM and data integration patterns.

Strong knowledge of ETL optimization, API management, and DevOps practices.

Soft Skills : Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Competencies

Familiarity with AI / ML platform requirements.

Knowledge of data governance frameworks and cloud security best practices.

Ability to work in agile environments.
