The Opportunity
Our client is an event/onsite medical support and patient transport provider founded on a passion for patient welfare and a desire to operate at a benchmark standard.
Currently, they are looking for a Management Accountant to ensure the provision of a high-quality accounting service that supports the effective and efficient management of financial resources, within statutory and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the weekly payroll process and undertake the role in the absence of the Payroll Officer
- Data entry of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (i.e. invoicing)
- Processing of requisite monthly journals in order to prepare month-end reports
- Month-end reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
- Assist process to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare monthly reports to the board on the financial position of the business. Preparation of the BAS, IAS, and ASIC/ATO requirements.
- Preparation and calculation of the Payroll Tax Liability
- Budgeting and forecasting including analyzing and reporting variance against budget and forecasts.
- Assist with the preparation of Annual Financial Statements and other financial reports as required.
Key Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- 5-8 years of extensive experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting.
- CA/CPA Qualification.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete work within established deadlines and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and experience in working collaboratively as a productive team member.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
