Job description : Key Responsibilities
1. Monitoring and Regulatory Compliance
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations issued by government agencies such as DENR, EMB, LLDA, OSHC, and local government units (LGUs).
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to regulatory compliance.
2. Environmental and Safety Systems
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and workplace safety policies.
- Assist in identifying environmental aspects and safety risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
3. Permits and Documentation
- Assist in the processing, monitoring, and renewal of required permits and clearances (e.g., Environmental Compliance Certificate, Wastewater Discharge Permits).
- Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, incident logs, and safety documentation.
4. Site Inspections and Audits
- Conduct routine site inspections under the guidance of senior staff to identify environmental and safety hazards.
- Assist in audit preparation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions.
5. Pollution Control and Waste Management
- Assist in monitoring pollution control facilities and ensure proper operation of waste, wastewater, and hazardous materials systems.
- Support solid and hazardous waste segregation, storage, handling, and disposal activities in compliance with regulations.
6. Project Planning and Implementation
- Handle various facility-related projects from planning and coordination through implementation and close-out, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist in project scheduling, contractor coordination, progress monitoring, and documentation to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.
7. Coordination and Support
- Participate in safety and environmental meetings, trainings, and committee activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, service providers, and tenants to promote regulatory compliance, safe work practices, and project requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.
- At least 1 year of engineering experience (preferred).
- Preferably with Pollution Control Officer (PCO) training or certification (Level 1 or willing to undergo training).
- Knowledge of environmental and safety standards, including EMB, DENR, DOLE, and OSHC regulations.
- Can drive two or four-wheel vehicles (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience :
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in facilities management, engineering, or environmental compliance.
- Internship or previous exposure to building operations, environmental audits, or safety inspections is an advantage.
