FINANCE MANAGER & CONTROLLER

Role Objective

To serve as the strategic financial lead for the Cebu office, providing high-level oversight of all local expenditures, payroll, and fund management. You will act as the primary auditor for local operations, ensuring strict internal controls are met while managing the daily financial workflow in coordination with the US Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight & Auditing : Review and approve all local expenses processed by accounting. Conduct weekly and monthly spot audits, vendor payments, and receipts to ensure zero discrepancies.
• Fund Management (Treasury) : Oversee the request and handling of operational fund transfers from the US. Ensure funds are allocated strictly according to budget and manage local banking relationships.
• Payroll Control : Audit payroll computations prepared by staff before final disbursement. Ensure accuracy in overtime, night differential, and holiday pay in accordance with Philippine Labor Law.
• Compliance & Tax : Ensure 100% compliance with Philippine government agencies (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) Manage annual renewals and tax filings to prevent penalties.
• Reporting : Prepare the “Cebu Packet” for the US Accounting team — a clean, reconciled month-end report of all Philippine operations expenses, properly categorized for the US General Ledger.
• Budgeting : Assist the US Owner in creating the operational budget for the Cebu office and track monthly variances (Actual vs. Budget).
