Asset Management Associate typically refers to a role within an organization’s IT and Non-IT equipment.
Responsible for tracking, maintaining, and optimizing the use of technology assets (hardware and software) across their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities : Asset Tracking : Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory using asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, EasyVista, Etc).
Lifecycle Management : Oversee the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of IT assets.
Compliance : Ensure software licensing compliance and mitigate risks related to audits.
Vendor Coordination : Work with vendors for purchasing, renewals, and returns of IT equipment and software.
Reporting : Generate and analyze reports related to asset utilization, depreciation, and compliance.
Documentation : Keep updated documentation on asset-related policies, procedures, and workflows.
Support : Assist in internal audits and support other IT teams with asset-related queries.
Key Skills & Qualifications : Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with ITAM tools and databases.
Understanding of IT hardware and software basics.
Proficient in Excel and reporting tools.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Experience in procurement or IT operations is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (preferred, but not always required).
