Marketing Assistant Virtual Assistant

This is a remote position.

Virtual Rockstar is hiring a full-time Marketing Assistant on behalf of our client a founder-led essential oils company based in Washington State. This role supports marketing execution across social media YouTube podcasts blog/SEO affiliate outreach and customer engagementhelping a fast-moving team stay organized consistent and growth-focused.

Responsibilities

• Manage social media publishing and engagement with a focus on community and brand voice (including Facebook Groups Instagram and other platforms).
  

• Support YouTube channel management including tracking video creation coordinating edits posting tags optimization thumbnails and basic analytics.
  

• Support podcast outreach and follow-up including outreach tracking transcripts and supporting assets/images.
  

• Maintain and update blog content on WordPress (no codingsmall edits only) including proofreading/editing updating tags/categories and SEO optimization with Yoast.
  

• Assist with SEO tasks and ongoing content optimization (blog SEO tags categories meta details using Yoast).
  

• Support affiliate and micro-influencer management: recruiting new partners onboarding support updates follow-up and maintaining consistent communication.
  

• Conduct influencer outreach and follow-up (a key area the founder wants to offload) including relationship tracking and next steps.
  

• Research and source external products for weekly Friday Favorites emails.
  

• Support email marketing and CRM workflows in Klaviyo (broadcasts automation support customer records as needed).
  

• Create marketing graphics and formatted assets in Canva (thumbnails PDFs transcript formatting simple social visuals).
  

• Research and support outreach for speaking opportunities and podcast guest features (research lists draft outreach follow-up tracking).
  

• Post blogs on LinkedIn and assist with cross-channel distribution.
  

• Maintain a testimonials database and support social proof organization.
  

• Provide light operations support as needed: scheduling the founders calendar ordering supplies/postcards and supporting basic affiliate payments.
  

• Track performance metrics compile insights and support strategic research/analysis to improve marketing effectiveness.
  

Requirements

• Experience supporting marketing execution in a small business creator brand wellness brand or e-commerce environment.
  

• Strong writing editing and proofreading skills (youll be writing regularly and representing brand voice).
  

• Hands-on experience (or strong comfort learning quickly) with: Google Workspace Canva Facebook Groups Instagram WordPress Yoast SEO HelpScout affiliate tools (iDev/GoAffPro) Klaviyo Basecamp Zoom Slack and .
  

• Organized and process-driven: able to manage multiple moving parts deadlines and follow-ups without micromanagement.
  

• Comfortable with outreach work (influencers affiliates speaking/podcasts) and following up consistently.
