- This role requires occassional travel to head office in Nueva Vizcaya, transportation allowance is provided
Role Overview
The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with accounting standards and Philippine tax regulations, and strong internal controls. This role supervises the accounting team and works closely with management and the
CFO / Finance Head.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting OperationsOversee all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts PayableAccounts Receivable, Payroll, and Fixed AssetsEnsure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closingReview and approve journal entries, schedules, and account reconciliationsFinancial ReportingPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsEnsure accuracy of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash FlowSupport budgeting, forecasting, and management reportingTax & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure full compliance with BIR requirements (VAT, Withholding Taxes, Income Tax, Alphalist, etc.)Prepare and review tax filings and statutory reportsHandle coordination with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agenciesManage audits and address audit findingsInternal Controls & Process ImprovementDevelop and implement accounting policies and proceduresStrengthen internal controls and ensure proper documentationIdentify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracyTeam LeadershipSupervise, train, and evaluate accounting staffReview team output and ensure deadlines are metProvide guidance and technical support to the teamManagement SupportProvide accounting and financial insights to managementCoordinate with other departments for financial mattersSupport special projects and management requestsQualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in AccountancyMinimum 5–7 years of accounting experienceAt least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial roleStrong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and complianceExperience handling audits and BIR transactionsPreferred
