Key Responsibilities
Transportation :
Safely and efficiently transport goods, materials, equipment, or company personnel to and from various locations.
Vehicle Maintenance :
Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections, conduct basic maintenance checks (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure), and arrange for vehicle servicing when necessary.
Logistics & Navigation :
Plan efficient routes, often using GPS or navigation tools, to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Loading & Unloading :
Safely load and unload cargo, equipment, or materials as required for different tasks.
Record Keeping :
Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any vehicle issues.
Adherence to Policies :
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures at all times.
Communication :
Communicate effectively with management, dispatchers, and clients to report delays, resolve issues, and ensure successful transportation.
Vehicle Upkeep :
Keep the company vehicle clean, presentable, and in good working condition.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Valid Driver's License : A current and valid driver's license is essential.
Clean Driving Record : A clean driving record and a clean medical record are often required.
Knowledge of Traffic Laws : A strong understanding of road safety rules and traffic regulations is necessary.
Navigation Skills : Familiarity with GPS, mapping tools, and local routes is beneficial.
Communication : Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
Attention to Detail : Accuracy in record-keeping and meticulous attention to vehicle condition are important.
Flexibility : The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and adapt to changing schedules is often required.
