About the unit:
Performance Analytics Unit acts as the companys eyes and ears gathering data on shipments routes and warehouse operations. The Unit analyzes data to identify areas for improvement such as faster delivery times or reduced costs and provide insights to optimize the entire logistics network.
Job Description:
The Performance Analytics Operations Analyst is responsible for conducting day-to-day data gathering generation and basic analysis to support the Department Head of Performance Analytics towards the overall direction of the Department. They will process data and create meaningful dashboards to ensure that operating teams have enough visibility on operational and cost metrics.
The Data Analyst will work closely with the Ground Operations units to ensure that data is properly cascaded and understood on the hub level. They will also work closely with the Business Intelligence Unit on data interpretation query optimization and conversion to meaningful information.
Main Duties:
- Create views specific to their assigned departments of the established KPI
- Deep dive on a granular level the issues that ground operations are experiencing both through ground immersion and back-end data processing
- Tailor-fit targets of KPIs of each hub based on the requirements set by the Department to hit overall goals of the organization
- Provide insights feedback and recommendations for process changes
- Standardize and automate reports and other requirements
- Ad hoc reports required by the department
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferably in Business Studies Management/Industrial Engineering or Information Technology
- Work experience in any similar field is a plus
- Proficient in SQL and has basic knowledge in other business intelligence or analytics platforms (Python R Periscope Metabase)
- Proven analytical background
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft Excel or Google Suites GSheet
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Can work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work under pressure prioritize and thrive in a fast-moving environment
