The ideal candidate has a solid background in retail merchandising, with a strong focus on cosmetics or skincare products and experience in managing people. This role blends data analysis, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration to help drive sales, optimize product mix, and enhance customer experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Management, New Media, Public Relations, Advertising, Media, Communication, Commerce, or any business-related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in retail merchandising , including 1 year focused on cosmetics or skincare products .
- At least 1 year of experience in people management , team leadership, or supervisory responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Background in utilizing digital platforms, social media strategies, SEO / SEM, and customer engagement tools is a plus.
- Highly analytical with strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable using reporting tools, sales metrics, and merchandising analytics to inform planning and performance.
- Proficient in desktop applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), web tools, and social media management platforms.
- Creative thinker with the ability to multitask, manage pressure, and adapt to dynamic retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assortment Planning and Optimization
Support the development and execution of a balanced, data-driven product assortment across categories.Analyze market trends, sales performance, and customer feedback to improve category planning and SKU productivity.2. Pricing and Promotions Strategy
Assist in designing pricing strategies that align with business goals.Work with the marketing team to coordinate and execute promotions that enhance sales, traffic, and category performance.3. New Product Introductions
Coordinate product launches by working with suppliers and internal departments.Support post-launch analysis to evaluate performance and propose improvements.4. Vendor and Supplier Management
Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.Assist in negotiations and manage documentation and product coordination.5. Inventory Management
Monitor inventory levels and support demand forecasting and replenishment planning.Collaborate with supply chain teams to prevent overstock and minimize stockouts while maintaining healthy turnover.
