SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant (Night Shift) to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting key accounting functions including general ledger, reconciliations, and compliance. This role requires a solid understanding of U.S. accounting principles (GAAP) and experience working with QuickBooks Online. The Staff Accountant will collaborate closely with management and auditors to ensure the organization’s financial integrity and operational efficiency.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger oversight.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate reporting.
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings with supporting documentation.
Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
Utilize QuickBooks Online and other financial software for day-to-day accounting and reporting.
Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business and finance operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
4–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in U.S.-based or multi-entity environments.
CPA certification preferred (or actively pursuing).
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required).
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
