:

PX Lead Modeler

The position will lead a team of PX modelers and will be responsible for creating,

managing, and optimizing product models within the PX platform. This role requires a

deep understanding of product data management, modeling techniques, and the ability

to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of

product strategies. The Lead PX Modeler will report directly to the PX Platform Owner

and will be responsible for ensuring that product models align with business objectives

and best practices.

Job description

• Work closely with the PX Platform Owner to understand strategic goals and

translate them into actionable product modeling initiatives.

• Provide regular updates to the Platform Owner on the status of product modeling

projects, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

• Participate in strategic discussions with the Platform Owner to identify

enhancements and new features for the PX platform

Product Modeling:

o Develop and maintain comprehensive product and financial models within

ProductXpress (PX) platform, ensuring accuracy and consistency of

product data.

o Collaborate with product team, product pricing team and stakeholders to

define product attributes, categories, and hierarchies that align with

business objectives.

o Ensure that product models are scalable, efficient, and aligned with

industry standards

Data Management:

o Ensure the integrity and quality of product data by implementing data

validation and cleansing processes.

o Monitor and analyze product data to identify trends, discrepancies, and

opportunities for improvement.

o Work with data governance teams to establish and enforce data standards

and policies.

Collaboration and Communication:

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and

ensure alignment on product modeling initiatives.

o Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss product modeling strategies,

gather feedback, and drive consensus among stakeholders.

o Act as a subject matter expert on product modeling best practices and

provide training and support to team members.

System Integration:

o Work closely with IT and development teams to integrate ProductXpress

(PX) with other systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and

interoperability.o Participate in the testing and validation of system integrations to ensure

accurate product data representation across platforms.

Continuous Improvement:

o Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best

practices in product modeling and data management.

o Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the

product modeling workflow.

o Contribute to the development of documentation, training materials, and

user guides for the ProductXpress (PX) platform

Preferred skills

• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA,

Confluence) and other tools like Excel Macro

• Familiarity with API integrations, data exchange protocols and SQL

Qualifications

• College/University Degree preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics,

Engineering or Business

• At least 10 years of experience in product or actuarial modeling, product data

management, or a related field

• Strong understanding of product data structures, taxonomy, and classification

systems.

• Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques, with experience in SQL or

other database management systems.

• Familiarity with ProductXpress (PX) or similar product engine or platform is a

plus.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively with diverse teams.
