Title : Broadridge iSeries Operator (fully work-from-home role) AS400 Computer Operator (Console / Batch) performing monitoring of system consoles Knowledge of AS400 Commands IBM AS400 Message & Alert Management System, Knowledge of : MAM, MINIX, Windows, IBM Lotus Notes, PCAnywhere, and Open Text Socks Client.
Must be able & willing to learn new tasks / skills as requested Batch Scheduling (using ROBOT and Advanced Job Scheduler) Problem determinations & co-ordination with vendors for hardware & software problems.
Remote printer support and configuration Monitor AS400 servers and provide support for multiple accounts.
Notify technical support and / or programming staff regarding system abnormalities AS400 system backups and restores, IPLs, reruns / restarts, and applications processing.
Participating in Disaster Recovery Exercises Respond to application errors Provide support for Service Desk Participate in transition of new AS400 accounts Monitor DASD and CPU performance on iSeries Contact end users for problem clarification and resolution Perform and verify system backups using BRMS Escalate to the assigned client representative and Pomeroy Manager any documentation, process or procedure discrepancies and follow-up until resolved.
Participating in RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
