ESSENTIAL FUNCTION :
Understands DMAIC and clearly defines all aspects of quality problems and / or issues and facilitate satisfactory resolutions using data collection, root cause and trend analysis.
Identifies, defines, and applies the elements of process documentation systems, document control, and ISO 9001 standards.
Coordinates compliance activities (internal quality audits, corrective / preventive actions, training, which are required to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 certification and other company procedures.
Identifies, defines, and classifies quality characteristics, including classification of defects.
Creates qualification methods and metrics for process, product, and service delivery.
Conducts Supplier Qualification Audits and quality assessment to evaluate capability of potential supplier to meet Cohu PH quality requirements.
Generates internal / external corrective / preventive action reports based on analyzed data and potential issues.
Follow-ups and closes of internal / external quality issues and corrective action requests.
Participates and supports the root cause analysis of functional group / s for Customer quality incidents
Monitors Customer’s and / or suppliers’ performance and administers Quality Meeting and requests relevant actions as necessary as maybe assigned.
Drives the team to complete 8D report / Corrective Action report in a timely manner
Ensures timely and effective corrective actions are taken from quality incidents arising from Customers and manufacturing.
Reviews customer specific quality related trends, analyze data and facilitate improvements.
Prepares and updates all necessary quality reports
Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
CUSTOMER / SITE QUALITY :
Accountable for :
Verifies conditions on RMA (CRPV) - In Oracle.
Owns introduction of, support and track, Lean and 6sigma efforts (MSA, SPC, 5S, SWI,
Responsible for :
Defines visual Inspection and Methodology Criteria - incoming, in-line (CMM / VMM), final inspection, Supplier FAI
Responsible and Accountable for :
Interface / Voice to and from the customer for issues from the factory; OBQ & UM (reliability).
8D, 3x5 Why and CAPA Management and support and oversite for the factory including Quality Metrics tracking.
Administration of PFMEA & Product Control Plans for the factory- evaluating effectiveness.
Quality data, systems and reporting Quality Issue and corrective action management for the factory - Internal to top Mgmt. and Internal to site personnel.
Prepares, manages and follow ups on internal and external Audits (Customer and ISO).
Performs internal audits (ISO required).
Runs Quality focused meetings - Cross functional team.
Operational Excellence : Generate, drive and improve company-wide policies and procedures.
ISO 9001 ownership : site qualification, management engagement, doc review (every 2 years), holding reviews of audit findings and corrective action and effectiveness, etc.
