Software Engineer Manager

MAIN PURPOSE

OF THE JOB:

Leads multiple teams to develop high quality applications that improves customer satisfaction, distributor effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Leads software engineers with design and technical ownership as well as functional and administrative responsibilities. mentorship, removing impediments and guiding team members to keep up with projects deadlines and within budget.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

System Development

Follows AXA PH Applications Lifecycle Management process in developing high quality software.

• Develops program codes and maintainhigh standards of software quality by implementing best practices in coding and AXA group security on applications being handled.

• Maintains quality by executing unit test and / or coded UI testing in applications being developed.

• Participates in peer reviews of solution designs and related output code from requirements.

• Prepares requirements to deploy to the production server.

• Reviews program codes created by the developers

Scrum and Agility

• Regularly Attends and Contributes to Scrum Ceremonies

• Updates Kanban / Scrum Boards

Leadership and Value Creator

• Assists in conceptualizing the propose application or change in an existing system and identify areas that will be impact-ed.

• Team Personal Development

• Coaching and Mentoring

Business Requirements

• Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements and development of user stories

• Provides Estimates and Workplan

Support and Maintenance

• Provide user support to applications maintained based on agreed SLA as a Level 3 of their respective application

• Provides maintenance and enhancements for existing applica-tions in terms of new features or bug fixes.

Solutions Design

• Provide high and low level systems design and delivery of Solution Plan document

• Define a Solutions Functional Specification needed for solution delivery

Your Profile

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 7-8 years of experience in developing on the respective domain and technology (any of the following: Web Development, Mobile Development, API, Chatbot, Machine Learning, Software Development )

• Computer System and Business Literacy – Advanced

• Business Literacy – Advanced

• Systems Analysis & Design Proficiency – Intermediate
