Job Summary :
The Inventory Checker is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all scaffolding materials and accessories. This role involves verifying the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing inventory, maintaining meticulous records, and assisting in the overall management of warehouse stock. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong problem-solving skills to address any discrepancies.
Responsibilities and Duties :
Inventory Verification :
Conduct physical counts and inspections of scaffolding materials, including but not limited to H-frames, catwalks, ladders, tie rods, wing nuts, and phenolic boards.
Verify the accuracy of products against shipping and receiving documents, such as delivery receipts, invoices, and packing lists.
Ensure all items meet quality standards and are free from damage or defects.
Documentation and Record-Keeping :
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inventory movements.
Reconcile physical counts with system records and investigate any discrepancies.
Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management, highlighting any issues or trends.
Assist with data entry into the inventory management system.
Compliance and Operations :
Ensure all inventory handling and documentation procedures comply with company standards.
Collaborate with warehouse, dispatch, and other teams to address discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
Assist in training new staff on inventory procedures as needed.
Support periodic audits and assist in identifying inventory variances.
General Duties :
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications :
Educational Qualifications : No formal degree required; a high school diploma or equivalent is typically sufficient.
Experience Level : Less than 1 year of experience in a similar role is often preferred. Experience in a warehouse or construction-related environment is a plus.
Skills and Competencies :
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and inventory management software.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions :
Primarily office-based with some shifts required in the warehouse or yard.
